My mom went on Saturday night, and Monday I finally got some feedback. After the first time she went to the hospital, I kept calling to get a hold of the director, and for someone to give me information. The staff is wonderful.Ĭommunication has been kind of difficult because there's one number. They've had to take her to the hospital several times for infusions, and they've notified me of all instances that happened to her. So far, I don't have anything to complain about because they've been wonderful. Kelly We had my mom at Desert Peaks' assisted living first, then they had to move her to their memory care. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident And in terms of value for money, they're the most reasonable than most that I found. But I'm more concerned about the health care and the staff than the decorations. It's an older place and it's not as snazzy as a few of the others I looked at as far as decoration and stuff. All the inside rooms look into another outdoor area where they keep turtles and stuff, so I kind of like those things, too. It's really big, and they have a yard with flowers, rose bushes, and that kind of stuff. The other thing I liked about them is they have a good outdoor patio that's all fenced in. Patrick's Day party with a lot of little prizes they gave out for different things, and they do bingo and crossword puzzles and a couple of other games. But my mom is not too picky, so she is going to like something that they serve for sure. There's not a big variety as far as choices like some of the other places I toured.

I've only eaten one meal there, and I have been with my mother for quite a few of her meals there. We're working on bringing the rest of her stuff over there. Her room is not a big room by no means, but it's got everything that she needs.

Another reason we like them is that they will let you put your own furniture in the room and make them the way that you like them.

What's best about them is their staff and just how easy they've been to work with. Ken My mother has moved into Desert Peaks Assisted Living and Memory Care.
